Lag! Don't know why...
I am getting lots of lag in Guild Wars and I have no clue why...
Comp specs: A64 3200+ - 2GB G.Skill DDR500 -Leadtek 6600GT - ASRock 939DualSata 2 I have Adelphia Cable which is a 3meg download line. So both my comp specs and internet specs should run this no problem...I even run the game quite a bit lower than what it recommends for my system...So what's up with all the lag? I mean it get's really laggy, espescially in combat. Everything moves slower and then speeds up sometimes...? EDIT: It even lags when I turn off all Instant Messenger programs, any internet browsers, etc. |

the lag hasn't really been getting me much lately, slow downloads however have been horrible.

my download times are fine, and I usually don't lag much in towns/outposts...It's just once I leave a town or whatever it starts gettin choppy.

Update your graphics drivers for one. Also, when you open the Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Delete); are there any oddly named processes running?

Well Tarun, you can't really say that. If soemone doesn't know what the normal process are, they could say they're all funny looking. Like how would someone know what tcpsvcs.exe is if they've never heard of it?

I know plenty about computers, I get my processes down to about 18 which is pretty good. I have the latest video drivers but they are Beta version...So I will try to down-grade to the official version later.
